Description
My interpretation of M.P. Alladin’s painting of a ‘tadjah’, which is danced on the streets in many Islamic communities during the Hosay celebrations, in Trinidad.
These celebrations happen in either April, May or June, in accordance with the Islamic calendar.
Depicted here in the ‘gutta serti’ silk painting technique, using a few of the motifs found on the ‘tadjah’, in the similar colour story of the painting.
