This design depicts the ‘cell-like’ skin pattern of the breadfruit, which is a tree found all over the Caribbean.
It is a fleshy fruit, whose pulp is used as a staple in many Caribbean dishes.
Here I illustrate the nature of the cell-like pattern, using the ‘direct painting’ technique.
It is shown in an azure blue colour story.
